Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Bowl
This blue & white porcelain bowl was made during the early to mid 1500's. The underglaze blue pattern is of good colour and features on the outer wall floral sprays with a flying insect. It is coated in a crackled glaze, the thickness of which has caused the underglaze decoration to have run and become blurred in places.
Diameter 15.5 cm (6 inches). Although there is no repair or restoration, there are two fine cracks to the wall that seem to follow the crackle of the glaze and that have penetrated the body.
