This bronze bowl and utensils were made during the latter part of the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). The wall of the bowl is particularly thin as it was made by the spinning technique as opposed to having been cast. Originally its surface would have been brightly polished but it has, during its long burial, acquired a green patina. The chopsticks are square at one end and round at the other.
Diameter of bowl 15 cm (6 inches), length of chopsticks 25.5 cm (10 inches), length of spoon 17.5 cm (6.75 inches). This set is in fine condition. The spoon has a couple of pin holes but there is no sign of any restoration or repair; exceptional !
