Korean Koryo Dynasty Celadon Glazed Stoneware Bowl (AD 918 - 1392)
This stoneware bowl was made during the Koryo Dynasty (AD 918 - 1392). It is glazed all over in quite a thick and finely-crackled celadon glaze. There are "spur" marks within the glaze from firing spacers to the centre of the bowl as well as around the outside of the foot.
This is quite a large bowl with a diameter of 18 cm (7 inches). There is a thick "iron" firing bubble to the rim edge and in places the rim edge is a little uneven, although the only actual damage is where a small rim chip has been filled.
