An absolutely gorgeous and *superior* unheated, untreated ruby from the famed gem mines of Mogok in Birma weighing an impressive 3.64ct. Gorgeous shade of almost pure ‘traffic light’ red, very typical of Burma ruby at its finest and exactly how ruby should ideally be. The colour will appear a tad lighter in bright sunlight - such as the bright Bangkok sunlight in which the last 5 pics were taken - and more deeply saturated red under incandescent lighting or cloudier conditions. The stone has very good clarity for the genre - if you are lucky to find a truly clean Unheated Burma ruby of this size, it will be $200,000+ - and we would call it slightly to moderately included for the gem genre, with the overall clarity grade being *absolutely* superior for the genre - unheated ruby from this origin will inevitably have some inclusions as this one does indeed have, but there are no ugly black spots etc and overall transparency, lustre and brilliancy are exceptional. Our pics probably do not do the gem justice, but this is a truly vibrant and lustrous stone with great life and fire. We have used a sophisticated macro lens for these pics which is inevitably superior to the human eye. The stone comes complete with a Gold certificate from the world renowned Lotus Gemology Laboratory (quite probably the best Laboratory for ruby and sapphire in the world) confirming no heat, and the origin Burma. The size is on the attached certificate. Whether mounted or loose, this ruby is absolutely CERTAIN to appreciate in value as time goes by. Shipping $60 EMS or Fedex
