Our pics do not fully do justice to this magnificent and rare, one of a kind gemstone from the beautiful isle of Madagascar. Weighing an impressive 4.06ct, this gem perfectly exhibits the precise combination of pink and orange which make up the famed and revered ‘Padparadscha’ colour in sapphire. Our pics are, on our monitor at least, a *tad* less orange than the original, which as advised is a truly perfect combination of the two colours. The first 2 pics are a more accurate colour. The stone is eye clean to all but the eagle eyed, who would spot one inclusions at 6 o’clock in the stone - that’s it, however, and the overall excellent clarity of the stone helps give the gem exceptional life, brilliancy and lustre. What a lively and vibrant gem this is. And, best of all, the gem is not only completely Unheated and untreated in every way, but certificated as being so by the Gemological Institute if America. ‘Padparadscha’ certificates from GIA are infinitesimally rarer than from other labs due to their stricter nomenclature labelling and requirements, and as such GIA certificated sapphires are far more desirable and certain to hold and indeed increase in value. All in all this is a stunning stone, absolutely perfect for a wonderful ring and absolutely certain to delight and to impress.
