Made by JO CATANZARO, deceased modernist jeweler from Buffalo NY, c.1950's. This piece is part of the collection that was purchased from her studio after her death in 2004. Measures 2 7/8" by 2". Large mixed metal fish pin by Rafael Dominguez, Mexico, 1943. Primarily made of 960 silver, there are copper and brass inset accents "marrying" the metals. One of the best and largest silver pins by Hector Aguilar, Mexico, c.1948. Beautiful repouseed floral pin showing play between oyxidized deep lines and shiny surface silver. Very large, it measures 3 1/2" long by 3 1/4" wide. Signature is unusual showing eagle mark(not usual bellmark), one of the earliest dies ordered from Germany - "eagle mark 940 HA TAXCO". Extremely unusual sterling hinged cuff bracelet showing HAWAII theme with half-nude woman HULA DANCER and UKELELE beautifully etched. Handmade 14k bangle by Ronald Pearson, Rochester, N.Y., c.1950's. Although unsigned, I have previously had this design in both gold and silver signed by Pearson. Beautiful turned design, it is a classic modernist piece. The oval design measures 2 5/8" by 2 1/2" on the inside, and the inside circumference is 7 1/2". Esoteric silver and orange, brown, and black enamel bracelet by the modernist designer, Perli, Germany c.1950's. This hard to find and extremely desirable body of work is always a wonder. The unusual enamel designs are varied, ranging from the figural to the abstract. This abstract bracelet is signed "PERLI" and is in excellent condition.
