Aesthetic movement Shiebler-type sterling MEDALLIONS pin by Parks Bros. & Rogers, Providence, Rhode Island, c.1885. Heavy gauge silver pin with a medallion at each end and an adjoining chain link design makes for a very strong design. Chain link is curved so pin can hold a scarf. Rare handmade large scale sterling cuff by the famous NYC modernist, Paul Lobel(1899-1983), c.1945. Original design combining flat silver outlined in decorative thick silver wire. Architectural modernist sterling horse head earrings by Paul Lobel(1899-1983), c.1950's. These earrings show a stylized horse head with applied silver wire forming a dimensional profile. Esoteric silver and orange, brown, and black enamel bracelet by the modernist designer, Perli, Germany c.1950's. This hard to find and extremely desirable body of work is always a wonder. The unusual enamel designs are varied, ranging from the figural to the abstract. This abstract bracelet is signed "PERLI" and is in excellent condition. It has 4 links and measures 7 1/2"(inside measurement) by 9 /16". The enamel is set in silver with a black background...

Rare sterling modernist choker necklace by Sigi, c.1952. Extremely heavy, it weighs 5 troy oz(150 gms)and is in excellent condition. The concave necklace houses graduated dimensional silver balls going around the entire piece. Sigi opened his PLATEROS shop in 1952, and one rarely sees the PLATEROS mark. The necklace is signed "PLATEROS TAXCO MEXICO STERLING #17 bellmark-can't read". The choker measures 14" around and is for a small neck...

It also appears on p.187 in WILLIAM SPRATLING and the MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE as "Los Castillo, prize-winning cubist parrot broach". This famous pin was made in Mexico, c.1947. The metals are sterling, brass, copper, and, perhaps pewter. The stones used are black onyx and malachite in matrix...
