Early hand made eye/eyelash sterling and matrix turquoise earrings by famous modernist Sam Kramer, NYC, c.1955. Each matrix turquoise comes from a different mine - one is greenish turquoise with black material (right) and the other is blue turquoise with brown(left) material. Obviously hand made, with each earring charmingly differently shaped than the other. They each measure approx. 1 1/8" long by 3/4"-1" wide. Each is signed STERLING mushroom mark(for Kramer) and are in excellent condition...

Modernist handmade necklace signed "SAM W. GRAVES STERLING", c.1950's. It combines an art deco and Native American feel in an interesting geometric chevron design. Not certain, but I believe that Sam Graves was a contemporary of Frank Patania and H. Fred Skaggs, working in the southwest. This hollow silver necklace shows a high degree of craftsmanship. There are 3 sections connected by a paper clip chain. The middle section measures 2 1/4" by 1". Each side section measures 1 7/8" by 3/4"...

Arts & crafts period handmade and very large Scandinavian 830 silver with 4 luminous labradorites stones pendant, c.1905. It is signed "830 S (floral or bug mark) #493", and each of the first 3 marks are in lozenges. Made of heavy gauge lightly gold-washed silver and large scale, it measures 3 5/8" long by 2 1/4" wide. Lovely orange banded agate dimensional circle brooch with silver construction on back. The pin measures 1 3/8" in diameter and is asymmetrical in design. Silver dragon head pin copying that of William Spratling by Serafin Moctezuma, Mexico, c.1950's. Much to the annoyance of Spratling, Moctezuma copied his designs, including the mark "SM", which when turned upside down, looks like a stylized WS, similar to that of Spratling. This great little Mayan dragon head, stands on its own and is quite charming. The pin measures 1 3/8" long by 1" wide. It is signed "980 SM TAXCO" and is in excellent condition...

Set of 12 period art deco classic design initialed sterling place card holders, c.1920's. Each piece has the art deco lettering initials "FVG" set in in a recessed oxydized background and are marked "STERLING". They measure 1 5/16" wide by 13/16" high by 3/4" deep(going toward the back). Each securely holds the place card with piece at back(see photo). Excellent condition. High deco design - wonderful set - even with initials, which strongly enhances the period style...

Rare offering:Coveted aesthetic movement flora and fauna theme showing sterling dimensional beetle on a leaf pin, by George Shiebler, New York, 1880. This beautiful piece has a slight gold wash on the leaf highlighting the silver beetle and measures 2 1/4" wide by 2 1/8" wide. It is signed "Shiebler mark STERLING 1416" with original Shiebler locking device. Figural sterling letter opener, by George Shiebler, Brooklyn,NY, c.1895. Has a Victorian/art nouveau figure of a winged draped nude female figure at the top of the curved dagger with "ER" script initials. Signed "STERLING S/wings(for Shiebler) 4292" and measures 4" long. "The company does no manufacturing, but, has always sold designs made by the finest American craftsmen; some of the designs being created exclusively for them", "American Jewelry Manufacturers" by Dorothy Rainwater. The design is a very beautiful heavy gauge textured silver profile...

Unique and rare handmade sterling studio piece of "drinking man" pendant by SIGI, Mexico. Design shows a naked man drinking from a bottle with wonderful detail and measures 2" long by 1" wide . Very dimensional and made of solid heavy gauge silver. Has large handmade loop for chain. It is signed "SIGI 925 MEX" and the SIGI mark is hand scribed in script. Torque necklace of sterling and onyx by Sigi Pineda, Mexico, c.1955. Marked "SIGI TASCO HECHO EN MEXICO STERLING (eagle mark) 36 (number is hard to see as it's deeply imbedded, so possibly) 310". The design is made of concave twisted bows of oxydized silver surrounded by a border of shiny silver. The NECKLACE measures 17" around(closed) and each of the 9 links measures 1 3/4" by 1/2" wide. The BRACELET measures 8 1/2" around(closed) and each of the 7 links measures 1" by 1/2" and has a safety chain. The PIN measures 1 5/8" long by 1" wide...
