EXTREMELY RARE: Large and very substantial(weighs 20 troy oz.) sterling OPEN serving bowl hand made by William Spratling, Mexico, c.1931. Beautifully hand hammered, this piece measures 11" by 7" by 2 1/2" high. It has a rounded bottom and sides with beautiful handles. The sides are rounded inward and will not accept a top. It is complete and was made to be an open bowl and not a casserole dish. Marked "WS 925 MEXICO" and is in excellent condition.......$30 for insured US shipping.

RARE OFFERING:Copper and brass "CROWN OF THORNS" necklace by Art Smith, NYC modernist, c.1960. Necklace shows a contrast of metals and sizes. The base is a copper neck ring from which brass sticks and balls jut out at various lengths. The copper neck ring is made of 6 hinged moveable sections. Although unsigned, this necklace has been verified as made by Art Smith. A more complicated version appears in Messengers of Modernism on page 94 and on the cover...

Very interesting and gutsy sterling handmade pin by the famous modernist, Sam Kramer(1913-1964), c.1950. Unique and dimensional, it has an applied silver design atop a round disk. Signed "STERLING mushroom mark", it is in excellent condition. Of generous size and very heavy gauge silver, it measures 2" in diameter and 1/2" high. The provenance of this piece has been identified by his son, Dan Macchiarini. He states that it was a private commission by someone wanting a clown face. RARE modernist sterling and rhodochrosite bracelet by Theodor Fahrner, Germany, c.1960's. This famed maker closed shop in the 1970's and produced a very small output of modernist designs. The substantial bracelet is made of heavy gauge silver(weighs 3 troy oz or 90 gms) and measures 7" long. Each of the 6 concave links measures 1 1/16" wide by 1" long and will fit a medium to larger wrist because of the curved links. The 6 matching stones are original and set off the textured silver...

RARE and BEST Salvador Teran necklace I've ever seen and possibly one of a kind. Made in Mexico, c.1952, it is a LARGE pendant of a woman praying wearing a shawl and skirt measuring 2 3/4" long by 1 1/4" wide. She has red arms and a black face, but not sure what those materials are. The linked neckring locks perfectly in place and measures approx. 15 1/4" around. It is signed "SALVADOR STERLING MEXICO 510 (bellmark)36". Can also be worn as a brooch. The modernist design is a true work of art...

Kerr sterling belt in Victorian style with cherubs, c.1890. The buckle is a bouquet and lattice design measuring 3" by 2 3/4" and clips on to the last link. There are 17 links each measuring 1 3/8" by 1 1/4". The design is a smaller version of the buckle except that on EACH of the four corners there is a cherub's head(hence 68). The length of the belt is 30 3/4" and is signed "STERLING #2 KERR mark(hatchet w/x's)"...
