Amethyst sterling screwback earrings by William Spratling, Mexico, c.1947. They each have a cabochon amethyst which measures 3/4" in diameter. They are appropriately signed. One of the stones has a natural fracture(see photo #1) which is very highlighted in the ENLARGED photo #1, but does not appear that way in person. Rare, large sterling swordfish by the famous modernist Mexican silversmith, Salvador Teran, c. 1952. It is signed "SALVADOR STERLING MEXICO #106" and is in excellent condition. Fabulous huge silver and onyx bracelet Mexico, c.1942. Mayan design has three onyx pieces (backed in silver)measuring almost 1" diameter and rising 5/8". Signed "MEXICO SILVER" and in excellent condition except that some of silver rounds are a bit dented at one section. Bracelet is 1 1/2" wide and the inside circumference is 7". Striking, hand made, and large sterling MAYAN face BOLO made by MIGUEL and sold at RANCHO ALLEGRE, the largest silver shop in Taxco, during the 1960's-70's. The design shows a darkened silver background which highlights the shiny silver face, decorative element, and edge. The bolo measures 2" wide by 1 3/4" long and the decorative silver ends measure 1 1/4" long. The black fabric tie measures 39" long and has a small wear spot to the fabric but can be worn with no trouble or weakness...

Great modernist designed mixed metals ring in silver and brass, possibly by ANTONIO PINEDA. It is signed "TONO 925" and is in excellent condition. This wonderful "lightening" ring has bolts of brass and silver set against an oxydized silver background. It is made of very heavy gauge silver, weighing 30 gms. and is size 9. Modernist 4-piece sterling set including necklace, bracelet, earrings, and pin by Sigi, Mexico, c.1950's. The design is made of concave twisted bows of oxydized silver surrounded by a border of shiny silver. The NECKLACE measures 17" around(closed) and each of the 9 links measures 1 3/4" by 1/2" wide. The BRACELET measures 8 1/2" around(closed) and each of the 7 links measures 1" by 1/2" and has a safety chain. The PIN measures 1 5/8" long by 1" wide...

Sterling repousee bracelet by Los Castillo, Mexico, c.1947. This is part of a two piece necklace/bracelet set, each offered separately. Hand made of very heavy gauge silver(50 gms), each of the curved 5-links measures 3/4" wide by 1 1/2". The entire bracelet is approx. 7 3/4" long and has a safety chain. Very large, rare, and heavy gauge sterling pin by the famous woman Mexican silversmith, Victoria (Ana Brilanti), c. 1945. The original geometric Mayan design measures 4" wide and 2 1/4" long and the applied silver provides the exciting foreground against an oxydized background. Silver dragon head pin copying that of William Spratling by Serafin Moctezuma, Mexico, c.1950's. Much to the annoyance of Spratling, Moctezuma copied his designs, including the mark "SM", which when turned upside down, looks like a stylized WS, similar to that of Spratling. This great little Mayan dragon head, stands on its own and is quite charming. The pin measures 1 3/8" long by 1" wide. It is signed "980 SM TAXCO" and is in excellent condition...

Large mixed metal fish pin by Rafael Dominguez, Mexico, 1943. Primarily made of 960 silver, there are copper and brass inset accents "marrying" the metals. Wonderful pin measures 3 3/8" long by 2 1/8" wide and is signed "RD 960". In excellent condition but there is some separation where silver is married to the one brass accent(see photo #2)......$11 for insured US shipping.

Early Victoria (c.1940 - #69) 980 silver pin with turquoise showing an amusing dog sticking out his tongue wearing a turquoise collar. It is signed "#69 980 VICTORIA TAXCO MADE IN MEXICO" and is in excellent condition. The pin measures 1 7/8" by 1 1/2" and is of good weight. Since this is a classic Fred Davis design, this is his work. It is signed "22(Sanborn's bellmark number) MEXICO STERLING" and is in excellent condition. It measures 1 9/16" wide by 1 1/8" high.
