Three of seven modernist one of a kind sculptures by James Kuo(1920-1995). James Kuo was a Chinese American abstract painter who came to the US in 1947 and settled in Buffalo, NY. He had many solo and group exhibitions at many galleries and universities and is in the permanent collections of corporations, galleries and museums. All the pieces are unsigned and are constructions on wood plaques from the 1950's...

Beautiful beige linen throw pillow case with period arts & crafts design hand colored and embroidered on the front, c.1905. Measures 26" wide by 15" wide and is in excellent condition. Fringed and backed in a mustard colored fabric and ready to accept pillow......$8 for insured USA shipping.

Olive green, pink, black, and light green floral Majolica curved candy or serving dish signed "GERMANY IMPERIAL crown" and is in excellent condition. Art nouveau bronze desk ends(set of 4), c.1905. This very heavy gauge desk accessory, each measures 4 3/8" by 3 1/4" by 3 1/4", and are each signed #"4120". Each will accept a blotter that will fit into the rimmed edge. There is a monogram on one tip only(see photo). Mixed metals(pewter,copper, brass) footed bowl showing a pouncing lizard by Los Castillo, Mexico, c.1950. Tray is large and measures 16 1/2" by 9 1/2" by 2" high. Has 3 brass round feet and is signed "LOS CASTILLO TAXCO 171". Has two creases at surface at lizard's head and behind one leg, original in factory. Wonderful birds, stars, and flowers patterned coverlet of wool and cotton hand woven in two sections and signed "MADE BY D.SNYDER HANOVER TOWNSCHIP NOR T.CO 1840" and is signed on the four corners with fringed edges. The coverlet has birds on three side and flowers on one side. The colors are red, blue, and mustard on an off white background. Coverlet measures 94" long by 72" wide and is in excellent condition......$20 for insured USA shipping.

Letter opener hand made of sterling, brass, and copper by Los Castillo, Mexico, c.1940. Well executed married metals design on front and back comprise the top of the piece. It is signed "LOS CASTILLO TAXCO STERLING MEXICO #58" and was made before the bellmark system was instituted by the Mexican gov't. in 1947. Made of heavy gauge silver, it measures 6 1/2" long and is in good condition except for the tip which has wear from use...

Famous, large and very heavy brass and tile hand wrought footed box showing HENS by Salvador Teran, Mexico, c.1952. Design shows 5 hens heads on top set in black tiles all around the box. The hinged inside is brass as is the bottom. The inside has a black patina which shows it has interacted with another material(see photo) but doesn't affect the integrity of the piece and could be removed. Box measures 8 1/4" long by 6" wide by 2" high...
