Lushly designed floral sterling and amethyst pin sold by Sanborn's and possibly made by Fred Davis who managed and designed for the store from 1947 through the early 50's, Mexico, c.1950. Pin is signed "bellmark 22", which was Sanborn's number. It measures 2 1/8" long by 1" wide. Excellent condition except that pin was probably changed with lead solder. Beautiful design that is reminiscent of Davis's work......$12 for insured USA shipping plus applicable NY sales tax.

Beautiful classic Mayan face pin by the great designer, Fred Davis. It is marked "FD STERLING MADE IN MEXICO" and is in excellent condition. It measures 2" wide by 1 3/8" long. Extremely rare and large sterling figural pin by Abraham Paz, Mexico c.1930. He designed for Fred Davis, so it is clear that this famous design was created by Paz. Here, we see a variation on a theme, with a man wearing a serape and holding a rope. The signature is RARE showing the Paz mark, which this antique dealer has never seen before. Classic cheese knife made of sterling and rosewood by Hector Aguilar, Mexico, c.1948. This heavy gauge silver piece shows a lush Mexican design with a curved sterling blade and measures 6 1/4" long. Beautiful red wood jacket with richly appliqued figures, Mexico, c.1940's. There are large man and woman figures on back and donkey, cactus, guitar, ceramics, etc on front and sleeves. There are two front pockets and the edges have sewn wool stitching all around. Interesting collar design(see photo). Small size - approx. size 4.
