Early modernist 14k and opal tie tac by the famous NYC designer, Ed Levin, c.1952. It is quite rare to see gold work by this artist, and this is a beautifully handmade piece. Handmade 14k and ebony modernist earrings by Betty Cooke, c.1980's. The design features an ebony disc(3/4" diameter by 1/4"thick)around which gold wire is formed. Interesting combination of Edwardian design of sapphires with rose diamonds in a 14k white filigree gold ring setting, c.1915. Rose diamonds are not usually found during this period, but are used here in this lovely ring. The are 3 hand set dark blue sapphires (1.4 carats) and 40 small rose diamonds(approx. .70 carats). Early period art deco metal jewelry clip of black man's face, c.1920's. He is wearing a white painted handkerchief on his head which has the tied ends hanging down next to a brass earring. He shows the attitude of the times with "nappy" hair, large painted whites of the eyes, and a smiling painted red mouth and white teeth. Made of heavy gauge metal. Classic William Spratling famous "Petate" sterling pin, Mexico, c.1945. The mysterious "petate" is one of the most compelling designs ever conceived. Arts & crafts period handmade and very large Scandinavian 830 silver with 4 luminous labradorites stones pendant, c.1905. The unusual enamel designs are varied, ranging from the figural to the abstract. This abstract bracelet is signed "PERLI" and is in excellent condition. Architectural modernist sterling horse head earrings by Paul Lobel(1899-1983), c.1950's. These earrings show a stylized horse head with applied silver wire forming a dimensional profile.
