Exquisite handmade 18K(750) gold and rubies modernist pin/pendant, c.1960's. It is signed "750 (stylized) R" and is in excellent condition. The texture is quite unique(on both sides) and has a 24-carat gold overlay so is very bright gold in color, and has 3 small pronged rubies. Made of very heavy gauge gold, it weighs 18 grams and measures 2 1/2" by 1 3/4". Breathtaking! Has a hand made double loop so that it can also be worn as a pendant. Coiled aluminum wire ring made without soldering, in the style of Alexander Calder, c.1950's. Has large circular design and measures 1 1/4" in diameter. The ring is cleverly designed so that the band is set towards the edge rather than the mid section. Hence it lays comfortably on the finger. Ed Wiener also used this technique(see back photo). Esoteric silver and orange, brown, and black enamel bracelet by the modernist designer, Perli, Germany c.1950's. This hard to find and extremely desirable body of work is always a wonder. The unusual enamel designs are varied, ranging from the figural to the abstract. This abstract bracelet is signed "PERLI" and is in excellent condition. Rare sterling cuff by modernist Caroline Gleick Rosene, San Francisco, c.1951. It is very difficult to find this silversmith's work. Architectural modernist sterling horse head earrings by Paul Lobel(1899-1983), c.1950's. These earrings show a stylized horse head with applied silver wire forming a dimensional profile.
