Shinkai Kanzan (1912-), a modernist vase with fish. A stoneware vase with modernist form and repeated sgraffito decoration of three stylised fish on a green band, by post war ceramic artist Shinkai Kanzan. Shinkai was the grandson of Seifu Yohei III. Mark: Two character “Kanzan” painted in cobalt to the base. Origin: Kyoto, Japan. Period: Showa Period, circa 1960s. Size: 15.5cm high, 12cm diameter. Condition: fine.
