Shunpo Inoue, a fine kogo with kirimon. A fine Kyoto porcelain kogo decorated in underglaze blue to the top of the lid with a kirimon (paulownia mon), with stylised foliage lappet border to the circumference of the base. The kirimon is traditionally symbolic of the Empress of Japan, and also the Japanese government post Edo Period. Mark: four character mark “Heian Shunpo” in underglaze blue to the underside of the lid. Origin: Kyoto, Japan. Period: Showa period or later, circa second half 20th Century. Size: 6.3cm wide, 4.7cm deep, 3.7cm high. Condition: Fine.
