A Bizen ware kogo for storing incense for the tea ceremony, very finely modelled in the form of a monkey mask atop a drum, by Kimura Toho of the Kimura lineage, one of the six oldest lineages of Bizen potters. Original tomobako. Mark: Impressed circular seal of Kimura Toho to the base. Origin: Bizen, Japan. Period: Second half 20th century. Size: 5.5cm high, 6.3cm wide. Condition: fine
