An elegant monochromatic porcelain brushwasher of forest green hue and simple bombe form, by master of the Meiji Period and second ceramicist appointed to Teishitsu Gigeiin, Miyagawa Kozan I. Mark: two character impressed oval stylised “Kozan” to the base. Origin: Kyoto, Japan. Period: Meiji Period, circa late 19th Century. Size: 13cm diameter, 4cm high. Condition: fine, with some watermarks to the interior from use.
