A stoneware kogo with hakeme (Korean mid Choson dynasty style white slip) decorated kogo (incense container for the tea ceremony), by Rokubei VI. It is in the form of a bale of rice, and exhibits a strong wabi sabi character. Mark: Impressed running script style “sei” to the base. Origin: Kyoto, Japan. Period: Showa Period, circa 1950s. Size: 3.75cm high, 5.5cm wide. Condition: fine.
