A stoneware vase with enamel decoration of plum blossom over a crackled Kyoyaki body, by one of the later (20th century) members of the Takahashi Dohachi lineage. Mark: impressed two character seal “Dohachi” to the base. Origin: Kyoto, Japan. Period: Taisho Period or Showa period, circa 1920s-50s. Size: 20cm high, 9.5cm diameter. Condition: fair, with a short hairline crack to the rim and a couple of enamel bubble bursts to the thickly applied horizontal bands of white enamel to the front, most probably from the firing.
