This large stone cauldron is hand-carved and was used for cooking in Tibet. Tibetans have been doing this the same way for centuries, so a specific date is difficult to ascertain, but this is a very old and used example. It is unusually large as it is more common to find the small types pictured. The small ones were used for making a quick soup or heating water for tea, while the large pieces were used in kitchens designed to cook for multiple people. This piece is in excellent condition. (Dimensions: Height: 10.5 in/27 cm Width: 17.5 in/44.5 cm Depth: 17.5 in/44.5 cm Weight: 45.2 lb/20.5 kg)
