Extraordinary Art Nouveau design. A scarce example of a bat-form pendant from the famous Charles Horner workshop in sterling and enamel. A detailed pattern in the silver wings and body is seen beneath the enamel work. Cobalt blue, along with lustrous turquoise and aqua greens, define the design. Further enamel is found upon a rising triangular form above the pendant as well as on a complementing suspension. A similar example is pictured in "Charles Horner of Halifax," page 94.
