High Art Deco, geometrically stepped, octagonal Boch pottery vase. The most unusual example is pierced upon two top levels to allow floral stems to be arranged in tiers as they are suspended in water within the vase. Alternating black and gold glazed panels have vibrant, stylized Art Deco florals in yellow, white, aqua and orange. Signed beneath: Ch. Catteau, Boch Keramis, D 1128. Made in Belgium circa 1927. 6 1/2" H., 8" W.
Art Nouveau Doulton Lambeth stoneware vases. Tall, cylindrical-form pair with pinched, flaring necks. Glazed in Mottled blues with celadon glazed panels. Four relief florals rise toward the top in golden-mocha and cobalt-blue with additional flower heads as well as draped beading in contrasting light tones. Impressed workshop marks beneath along with artist's marks for Maude Bowden and Lily Partington, circa 1906 to 1922. 14" H.
Rosenthal box painted with high Art Deco Modernist designs in blues, orange, yellow and gray upon a white glaze. The box, with beaded highlights in relief, has complementing painted designs on the sides as well. Made in Germany with date mark for 1929. 3/4" H., 2" W., 2 5/8" L.
Clarice Cliff Royal Staffordshire cake or serving plate in the well-known "Spring Crocus" pattern, circa 1930's. Painted in yellows, pinks and blue with a green center and border. Nice form with serving handles. Marks beneath. 9 1/2" W.
