Hagenauer patinated brass horse-and-rider bookends in the stylized form for which this Austrian workshop is so well-known. The animated subject, along with a flower, is set upon a scallop-front base. Each stamped "Made in Austria" and pictured in "Werkstatte Karl Hagenauer Wien VII," an early catalogue, page 13. Made circa 1928. 4 7/8" W., 3 3/8" D., 4 7/8" H.

Vienna Secession silver drinking cup or goblet by the well-regarded J.C. Klinkosch silver workshop in Vienna circa 1925-'30. The hammered, silver-footed goblet with a swirling, fluted knop upholding the cup was likely designed by Oswald Haerdtl. The artist, known for his distinct Vienna Secession forms, was an assistant to Josef Hoffmann. A beautiful, stylized applique monogram is upon one side. Impressed marks for 800 fine silver as well as workshop marks. Examples of Klinkosch works are found in the Brohan Museum in Berlin. 6 1/8" H.

Unusual set-of-six cocktail picks, each mounted with an actual sixpence silver coin. The coins each have a profile of King George V upon the front. Two dated 1921 and two dated 1922 have a rampant lion on reverse; one dated 1928 and one dated 1929 have oak leaves on reverse. Coins are mounted upon long, twist-stem cocktail picks. Each stamped with 830 silver fineness. 5" L. each pick.

Combination one- and two-ounce Modernist sterling silver cocktail jigger designed by Alphonse La Paglia. A native of Italy, La Paglia was commissioned to execute designs to be retailed by Georg Jensen, USA in the 1940's. These were retailed for only a few years when designs were briefly continued by International Silver Co. His creations abruptly halted in 1953 due to his untimely passing. Lovely Modernist ball-and-loop motif. Pictured in "Jensen Silver, the American Designs," page 125. 3 5/8" H.
