Standing 312mm high, this pair of electroplated candlesticks demonstrate the superb quality of the Elkington factory. The intricacy and detail are shown in the fine casting and the silver plating is in wonderful condition. The quality is shown further by the weight-each one weighs just over 1.1 kgs. On the rims under the lift out sconces is stamped the model number 9765. The Elkington stamp is punched into the foot of each one together with the date letter T for 1858.

This lovely first period hand painted Worcester teapot has been decorated on either side with cartouches containing Chinese figures. These cartouches are surrounded by smaller cartouches containing flowers which originally would have been set in a gilded ground, but unfortunately most of the gilding has been worn away. Also there are two rather crude repairs to the lid and some damage to the knop, as shown in the photos. It stands 130 mm (5.25 inches) high. C 1770.

This Royal Worcester 'Sabrina Ware' vase stands 187mm high and is decorated with a pair of flamingoes, hand painted by G H Evans. The shape is number 2265 and the date mark is for 1931. It does have some crazing, but otherwise it is in excellent condition. Sabrina Ware was first introduced in 1894 and ran through to the mid-1930’s. A beautiful, subtle decoration caused by the effects of metallic salts, the exact final effect could not be controlled and this was considered part of its charm....

Sitting on a footed champleve enamel and ormolu base is a moulded slab of onyx, upon which rests another small slab of onyx set in a collar of champleve enamel and atop this is the champleve enamel and ormolu lidded inkstand. The main slab of onyx features a groove on either side as a pen rest. It stands 135mm high, is 225mm long and 130mm wide. The white porcelain inkwell is a replacement, but it is an antique one. Decorated with an underglaze blue and white chinoiserie pattern, this earthenware punch bowl has been attributed to the Herculaneum factory of Liverpool. This good quality wall mirror is framed with a typical Arts and Crafts hand beaten and riveted copper surround. On each of the corners is a raised roundel and in the centre of the top rail is a Ruskin type enamel cabochon.
