This Royal Worcester porcelain jug is decorated with a lively hand coloured spray of flowers, embellished with gilding, on a cream ground. There is a smaller spray on the reverse. The jug shape is listed as number 1094, which was introduced in 1885, and came in 6 sizes. The height of this one is 155 mm (6 inches). The reeded handle has suffered some rubbing of the gilding, otherwise it is in very good condition. It carries the date code for 1897.

The cup shape mirrors the "London" shape, a popular shape of the early part of the 19th century. The diameter of the cup is 75mm and it stands 45mm high. This hand coloured and gilded porcelain Spode plate dates from the period 1821-33. It is decorated with hand coloured flowers amid rich gilding(Pattern 3071). This hand painted Davenport porcelain dessert plate features a central display of fruit framed with gilding that includes gilt insects. This very attractive Spode felspar porcelain platter is decorated with the Japan or Imari pattern 3955. This pattern was introduced in 1824 and this piece would date from 1824-33. It is 403mm long, 320mm wide and stands 48mm high. It is in very, very good condition with only minimal loss of the gilding and a very few faint scratches to the central well.
