This Barr, Flight and Barr bowl is painted in underglaze blue as the base for the "Japan" fence pattern. For some reason it did not get to the on glaze decoration stage. This Copeland & Garrett hand painted bowl features a central scene by the Copeland and Garret artist/gilder Mansfield, of Loch Achray, surrounded by an apple green ground. This very attractive Spode felspar porcelain platter is decorated with the Japan or Imari pattern 3955. This pattern was introduced in 1824 and this piece would date from 1824-33. It is 403mm long, 320mm wide and stands 48mm high. It is in very, very good condition with only minimal loss of the gilding and a very few faint scratches to the central well. Spode's Felspar Porcelain is really a bone china with some of the Cornish stone replaced by feldspar.....refer "Spode and Copeland Marks" page 1...

This very elegant Susie Cooper Can shape coffee pot, is decorated with the Keystone pattern (pattern C2131 issued in May 1968) in matt black. It stands 200mm high.
