The raised decoration on this impressive majolica jardiniere was formed in separate moulds and then applied by hand. This is called sprigging. After these sprigs were fired onto the body they were then glazed with the majolica glazes. Possibly French, it carries the number 2016 incised into the base, and a small impressed mark. I have been unable to attribute it to a maker. The jardiniere stands 395 mm (15.5 inches) high and has a diameter of 440 mm (17.5 inches)...

This bone china dessert basket and stand by Davenport is decorated with their hand painted "Table" pattern, in the Chinoiserie style. This early Moorcroft designed Florian Ware vase is decorated with the Poppy design and carries the James McIntyre backstamp as well as William Moorcroft's painted initials. This Wileman Intarsio biscuit barrel is decorated with scenes from Shakespeare's Henry IV part 1-Falstaff. The pattern number is 3500 on the Wileman shape 308. This very large Doulton Lambeth Faience flask vase was painted by Katherine (Katie) Smallfield, who worked at Doulton from c1882-1912. Both sides of the vase are decorated with a single large flower on a graduated green ground. It stands 360 mm (14.25 inches) high, has a diameter of 310 mm (12 inches), and has a depth of 150 mm (6 inches). It weighs 3 kg (6.6 lbs). This lovely first period hand painted Worcester teapot has been decorated on either side with cartouches containing Chinese figures.
