This Barr, Flight and Barr bowl is painted in underglaze blue as the base for the "Japan" fence pattern. For some reason it did not get to the on glaze decoration stage. It is impressed with the Barr, Flight and Barr mark of 1804-13 although Henry Sandon in his book "Flight and Barr Worcester Porcelain" dates the pattern to C1810-15. This delightful pair of six sided Royal Crown Derby porcelain vases feature hand painted roses and swags on a pale yellow ground, with the mounts between the panels picked out in blue.
