This Georgian Old Sheffield Plate caddy spoon features a stamped outline pattern and applied filigree work to the handle. It measures 70 mm (2.75 inches) in length and is 38 mm (1.5 inches) at its widest. It is in excellent condition (although the photos might suggest it, there is no loss of silver at all). C 1810

This Old Sheffield Plate caddy spoon was manufactured by stamping the shell shaped spoon from Old Sheffield Plate, and then applying cast silver decoration to the handle. The length is 72 mm (2.75 inches), the width 42 mm (1.75 inches) and the weight is 16 gms. There is some loss of silver to the high points on the back of the bowl. c 1800.

This pair of silver plated fish servers were made by Elkington & Co. They are quite weighty and are decorated with very ornate and very detailed engraving, more so on the fish slice which offers a broader area. The slice is 325 mm (12.75 inches) in length and the fork is 247 mm (9.75 inches). Both pieces are in very, very good condition and carry Elkington's date code for 1880.

This very attractive silver plated footed fruit bowl with swing handle, was made by Orvit of Germany and is in the classic Art Nouveau style featuring embossed roses and entwined stems. The stand is in excellent condition (it has been replated) and has its original glass liner which is also in excellent condition. It stands 270 mm (10.5 inches) high to the top of the handle, and is 250 mm (10 inches) in diameter. C 1905

These ornately decorated silver plated asparagus servers are by Elkington & Co of Birmingham England. They measure 242 mm (9.5 inches) in length and 48 mm (1 7/8ths inches) at the widest point. They are in very good condition, with no actual wear to the silver, apart from some faint scratches, and the spring action is still strong. They carry Elkington's date letter for 1905.

This unmarked octagonal WMF visiting card tray is shown in the WMF English catalogue for 1906 as model 190a. It is shown on page 169 of the reprint issued by the Antique Collectors Club in 2008 and its original price was 10 shillings. Its decorative features are typically Art Nouveau (known as Jugendstil in Germany) with stylised flowers and a young woman with long flowing hair. The tray would have sat on a table in the hallway, near the front door...

Standing 312mm high, this pair of electroplated candlesticks demonstrate the superb quality of the Elkington factory. The intricacy and detail are shown in the fine casting and the silver plating is in wonderful condition. The quality is shown further by the weight-each one weighs just over 1.1 kgs. On the rims under the lift out sconces is stamped the model number 9765. The Elkington stamp is punched into the foot of each one together with the date letter T for 1858.
