The inside of this two handled Moorcroft comport is decorated with a single, large, velvety red and blue pansy, backed by some foliage, which is a rather unusual decoration. Around the rim of the bowl runs an undulating ring of flowerbuds and leaves, which separates the off white glaze at the top and the dark blue that continues down to the foot. It stands 135 mm (5.25 inches) high and the bowl has a diameter of 165 mm (6.5 inches)...

This Royal Worcester 'Sabrina Ware' vase stands 187mm high and is decorated with a pair of flamingoes, hand painted by G H Evans. The shape is number 2265 and the date mark is for 1931. It does have some crazing, but otherwise it is in excellent condition. Sabrina Ware was first introduced in 1894 and ran through to the mid-1930’s. A beautiful, subtle decoration caused by the effects of metallic salts, the exact final effect could not be controlled and this was considered part of its charm...

This Minton Secessionist ware vase stands 176 mm (7 inches) and is illustrated in the Minton Seccessionist catalogue of 1902 as vase number 41. Designed by John Wadsworth and Leon Solon, Minton Secessionist ware was their tube lined Art Nouveau range of the period just preceding World War 1. It is in very good condition apart from from some very fine crazing, with the colours remaining vibrant. There is a date mark on the base, under the glaze, but it is illegible. C1902-10.

This Royal Worcester cabinet plate features a superb floral centrepiece painted by Walter Austin (1891-1971), surrounded by extensive raised gilding on pale yellow and green grounds. It measures 270mm in diameter and is in very good condition with a very slight loss of the gilding, most notably, just below Austin's signature, as shown in the photo. The date mark is for 1926.

Standing 385mm, or 15 inches, high this eyecatching Crown Devon ruby lustre lidded temple jar really stands out. The Crown Devon lustrine series was first introduced in the 1920's, and this piece would date from around 1935. The oriental scene decoration is hand enamelled over a printed gold pattern, and the lid and base are hand gilded. It is in excellent condition.
