This very attractive scalloped edge plate by Aynsley is decorated with an Art Nouveau hand coloured pattern of poppies. The plate is 218mm in diameter and dates from around 1910. There has been some slight rubbing of the gilding to the rim and some small loss of the pattern.

Standing 385mm, or 15 inches, high this eyecatching Crown Devon ruby lustre lidded temple jar really stands out. The Crown Devon lustrine series was first introduced in the 1920's, and this piece would date from around 1935. The oriental scene decoration is hand enamelled over a printed gold pattern, and the lid and base are hand gilded. It is in excellent condition.

This very attractive hand painted wall plaque or charger is decorated with pattern A3830 from A.E. Gray's Pottery in Stoke-on-Trent. The flowers are done with a muted palette with jewelled highlights to their centres, whilst the leaves are painted in autumnal colours. The painting and the gilding are enhanced by the buff coloured ground. The condition is very good apart from some crazing. It is 340mm in diameter and dates from around 1937.

This Minton Secessionist ware vase stands 176 mm (7 inches) and is illustrated in the Minton Seccessionist catalogue of 1902 as vase number 41. Designed by John Wadsworth and Leon Solon, Minton Secessionist ware was their tube lined Art Nouveau range of the period just preceding World War 1. It is in very good condition apart from from some very fine crazing, with the colours remaining vibrant. There is a date mark on the base, under the glaze, but it is illegible. C1902-10.

The inside of this two handled Moorcroft comport is decorated with a single, large, velvety red and blue pansy, backed by some foliage, which is a rather unusual decoration. Around the rim of the bowl runs an undulating ring of flowerbuds and leaves, which separates the off white glaze at the top and the dark blue that continues down to the foot. It stands 135 mm (5.25 inches) high and the bowl has a diameter of 165 mm (6.5 inches)...

This Royal Doulton beaker is from the Nursery Rhyme A series designed by William Savage Cooper which was introduced in 1903. This beaker features the nursery rhyme "Where are you going to my pretty maid?". The front shows the dandy and the milkmaid while the whole rhyme is printed on the back. It stands 88mm high and dates from the period 1903-32. It has two small chips to the underside, which are barely visible when the piece is standing...
