Made of mahogany, this revolving cotton reel holder has been fashioned in the shape of a table of the early to middle part of the nineteenth century. There are seven spindles to hold cotton reels, a central thimble holder and around the edge of the table top is a pin cushion. It stands 122 mm (5 inches) high to the top of the spindles, and has a diameter of 132 mm (5.5 inches). It is in very good condition, but I suspect a couple of the spindles have been replaced. c 1850.
