Offered is a early piece of Worcester in the Prunus Root pattern, with a workman's mark of an "x" to the bottom. Similar pieces with workmen's marks are typically dated circa 1754 through about 1760. This faceted or fluted saucer measures about 11.7 cm (4.6 in) in diameter. It seems to be in very good condition overall, with no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. The tone of the blue is deeply pleasing. All in all a fine and quite early piece of antique Worcester porcelain!
