Lamellophone --- a musical instrument --- comprising of a flat board carved in the shape of an hourglass on which five thin plates or "tongues" are affixed with metal wires. The board itself is nicely decorated with incised geometric designs on its lower part. Beautiful age patina. Africa, D.R. Congo (ex Zaire), Kuba Peoples. Height: 8" (20,2 cm).
