Small relief fragment nicely carved in wood, in the shape of a Buddhist deity wearing diadem and sitting cross-legged on a lotus throne. The sides of the relief are missing, leaving the figure armless. However, the fine quality of the carving and its details are still remaining. Himalayan Region, 17th century. Height: 5" (12,5 cm). The relief is nicely mounted on a custom wood stand which enhances its beauty. A fine little piece despite its old age and missing parts.
