A large white antique beaded strawberry emery with a mottled theorem type green velvet top. I think it probably had a white ribbon loop on top but isn't there now. The body of the strawberry is a fabric that has been painted white. My feeling is that the fabric was painted to make the strawberry more resistant to leaks of the material, called emery inside. It is snow white with clear beads and was probably made by the Woodland Native Americans of Maine. The Strawberry is 2 1/2" long not including the looped beads at the bottom. Circa 1880
