This outstanding bedpost doll 21" tall and is mounted on a professional stand. The bed is older than the age in which I think she was made into a doll. The post is early 1800's and had nice wear. Her arms are cloth and are nailed on but she may have had other arms. The fabric layers are, an early blue calico fabric that is of medium weight like a ticking material, a black fabric with a tan stripe and the black calico dress. The first two layers stop at the waist. Her black dress is shredding in places but still looks nice. Her black bonnet came with her but is new but interesting, the brim is stiffened by using screen mesh, as in a screen door.
She has a hint of a painted face. See close-up picture. She is 21" tall and is circa 1860-80
