This is a solid wood hand carved woman carnival knockdown. She is hand painted with great eyes and eye lashes, protruding nose and indented mouth and a little pointed chin. Her mouth is a painted red oval and looks like she is in the middle of getting in her last work before the bean bag is thrown. She has painted black hair and the suggestion of bun on the back of her head. She has two cloth arms nailed on. The fabric is almost the same color but not quite matching so one may be a replacement. She is French and she is from the late 1800's. She has some paint loss but it isn't flaking so it must have been her job that caused what you see.
