This cornfed down home girl is really sturdy, all hand sewn with firm strong stitches. She is made from feed sack. A lot of the feed sacks around the 1900's were advertised to have labels and print that would wash off with one washing, (Ultimate recycling). This was not one of those feed sacks. She is stuffed with rags. She had another face over this one and there maybe and older one under this one. Her hips are not jointed but she does do a pretty good forced sit. She is dressed in a blue calico dress and a white petticoat under it. She is as found. I put the bonnet on her and she likes it and so do I but it might not be your preference. She is 22" and circa 1890
