This rag stump doll is all original other than the bonnet I put on her. She has a drawn pencil face. her dress goes up into her head in the back so she was rolled and wrapped and part of the material in the dress is in the head. Maybe to keep the dress on. She has a fine piece of linen over the cotton for her face and it wraps around and is sewn on the back of her head. See picture and also note the brown thread that may have held on some kind of hair. Her arms are rolled and are attached to her shoulders. The stump is folded rather than rolled so she is a little flat in the body. She is 13" to the bottom of her dress and is 8" from the top of her head to the bottom of the stump. She is C. 1880-90 She is a very nice example of a rolled stump doll.
