She has signs of wear but for her age she has been well taken care of and probably has packed away for years. I call this pristine doll, a Sunday doll. More often than not, Sunday dolls were china and bisque and were kept on a shelf or under a dome and played with on Sundays either at church gatherings or to keep a child busy while older folks talked. She has button eyes, embroidered face, a firmly cotton packed body, jointed arms and legs and sits very nicely. Her pink calico dress is over a slip and under an apron. The yarn on her head is carefully sewn on and has faded a little with age. She has no condition issues. I forgot to mention she has on a cute old handknit pair of socks on her feet. She is C.1890 and is 15" tall.
