A luscious bud vase in the Onion Bulb shape 645, enameled in mulberry and blue. The vase was designed in 1907 by Emma Kinkead. The underside is incised with the logo and name of Van Briggle and Colo Spgs for Colorado Springs. Very good condition with 3 very small glaze specks at the base which are noted in a picture. The vase dates to early 20th C. Dimensions: 3.5" w, 3.25" d, 4.25" h. The vase has very small glaze flakes near the base. Otherwise it is in very good condition.

A monumental vase in the Art Nouveau style by the well known Turn-Teplitz factory which produced some of the most innovative and stylish vases of the Art Nouveau period from which this vase descends. Its complicated design is matched by its enduring beauty, with four upturned arms - reminiscent of an octopus - providing support for the controlled widening conical body. The luscious green ground waxes strong and faint, muting in a mellow yellow...

American Brilliant Cut Glass Pitcher richly cut with deep vessicas, stars, and other embellishments. The bulbous body tapers to wide neck with scalloped rim. The attached heavily faceted handle has a flat top. The underside has 32 point star. The blank is very clear. Condition is superb. Marked Libbey on the handle top. This pitcher is a superior example of brilliant cut glass in general but of hollow ware in particular. Height: 7 1/2"

A finely cast iron lion en passant with modeling in the animalier style screw mounted on rectangular base. Very good condition with slight oxidation and minor blemishes to patina, mostly on base. We date this sculpture to mid 19th C., unmarked. Length: 11 1/4"

Chinese export armorial platter with deep well, having a central coat of arms consisting of globe / shield, mythical bird, and effulgent plumes, adorned with floral spray below, and above with the banner inscription Patientia Vincit. Rim is scattered with hand painted flowers, and burnt orange ribbon around at the top of the cavetto. Back sticker from H Moog of Atlanta...

Chinese export porcelain mug, with handle, on foot rim, painted in the famille rose palette. In excellent condition with discoloration especially around handle, indicative of an old repair. One central reserve with 2 men, otherwise surrounded by blue and white flowers and polychrome bouquet; rimmed with blue on white panels. Underside tagged with identification from at least 40 years ago. Dates to middle of 18th C. Very fine specimen. Height: 5"

An unusual octagonal Chinese lacquer stacked box set painted with black ground and elaborate gold designs featuring prominently the warring dragons and pearl motif on the lid, also repeated stylistically on the sides. Cabriole legs support a sunken base which supports 2 trays and a lid. Overall condition is quite good but as you will see in one of the photos, there is paint loss on the legs to varying degrees, the one shown being the most egregious example. A fine French mantle clock in the rococo style made of rouge marble with gilded bronze feet and accents, atop which stands a bronze of Joan of Arc by Henri Emile Giraud (1825-92,Fr), and thus signed. The clock works, but has no visible markings. It is in excellent condition and works. It dates to c. 1875. Dimension: 26" h

This 14K gold American Waltham pocket watch has exceptionally fine embossed and chased gold decoration of floral motifs. The face is enamel with Roman numerals. The face is covered by a plastic bezel over over another crystal. Serial number and gold purity stamped on the back. Dimension: 1 1/2"

This diminutive black basalt wax seal was made by Wedgwood in the late 18th C. as a protest against slavery and features Hercules. The condition is nearly immaculate with no defects to report. The hole at the top was to attach to a lanyard or neck chain or necklace. This item is quite rare and collectible. Dimension: 7/8" h

A fine Chinese Rose Medallion ladle with a mother and her child seated together. The handle is subtly gilded with the standard famille rose palette. This example dates to c. 1820 and is in excellent condition. These small but wonderful items are hard to find, and such a treat when discovered. Dimension: 5" l

This turquoise based enameled color scheme accents the gold and silver elements of this finely crafted and detailed scholar's brush used to hold calligraphy tools away from the table or paper. Impressive Early American Pattern Glass water goblet with frosted foot and stem concluding in 3 lion's heads. The base of the goblet bowl is formed with six panels and the sides are clear, flaring slightly as the sides rise to the rim. Condition of the glasses is excellent with no chips or cracks.

A rare and lovely English porcelain compote with a canary yellow ground on the bowl and pedestal, the center of the bowl hand painted with a bouquet of flowers. Edges are and handle accents are enameled in aubergine. Underside is hand painted 3. Overall condition is excellent, with some soiling below average for age which we attribute to c. 1820-30. An exceptional and elegant tea set consisting of a teapot, sugar, and creamer, hand painted with grey ground, and colorful floral sprays. Generous scrolling and foliate gilding complete the treatment. The condition of this ensemble is well above average for its age which we assign to the 2d quarter of the 19th century - c. 1830-40, suffering occasional soling. The pieces are unmarked other than with a hand painted pattern number...

Flint glass open sugar on round foot, glass sliced octagonally. Glass is tinted grey/purple. Condition better than average for age, but still age appropriate wear. Limited but interesting provenance for serious buyer. Glass belonged to well to do and well connected Georgia philanthropist Lenna Judd who died in 1939. Dimension: 4" h; 4 1/4" d
