When we say that these candelabra are "le fin de siecle" we are referring to more than their late 19th century manufacture. This exceptional wood carving of a Santos was made during the early 19th C. and was executed with bold strokes with great impressiveness. The central figure is giving the sign of Christ while holding a black object - perhaps a globe - in his other hand. The Jacob Petit factory at Fontainebleau produced these porcelain cornucopia vases Century 1840. The lavish cornucopias are mounted on rectangular bases decorated with rocaille and gilded swags and vines; the corners are finished with swans. The horn is molded, painted with flowers in reserve on each side. The rim is a rococo staple of undulating flourishes, decorated in gold in the upper interior. A fantastic set of hand painted fish plates, each plate having its own distinctive scene, made in Limoges, France. The plates date circa 1900. Each plate is gold enameled at the rim. Wood shelves; dentil molding; wood pegs still present; brass hinges, and closing clasps added. Double doors top and bottom. The feet have been cut somewhat. These exceptional vases decorated in the Chinese style were produced by the firm inherited by Charles Mason who secured rights to the famous Mason's Patented Ironstone in 1813. The pottery made porcelain as well, but I believe that these vases are of ironstone. This rope bedframe has warmth which only time and wear can give. It has head and foot boards with some extra touches such as spool posts and turned legs. It retains its bed rails making modernization a plausible option. This bedframe is a very nice example with extra details which the average bedframe of its era did not have. This fine Ruby Block goblet was made by several manufacturers during the 1880s and beyond. It features hexagonal blocks surrounded by diamond "cuts", but it is pressed glass of course, made in 4 parts, the bowl being fused to the stem.

Known by many names and made by many companies, this goblet is unusual because the top is ruby stained, a reversal of the usual placement. Souvenir of Lewistown, PA is faintly scripted. We guarantee it to be antique.
