One of the premier names in glass work made this paperweight 1972 with clear evidence in the signature cane and the stamp on the back attesting to its origin in the Baccarat factories. The design uses colors reminiscent of French and American flags with white muslin floor supporting canes of blue linked in loop de loops surrounding a circle of red canes in tur surrinding a circle of stars with a central white star. In addition to the Baccarat insignia, the underside is marked with a hand inscribed 137 in a polished area of the glass. We have left some tags on the underside as well. The paperweight is both colorful and rare, making it a desirable momento of either French or American sensibilities.
