Bouquet of Flowers in a Pot
Few subjects can bring as much sunshine into a room as can flowers. This composition sketched in chalk on paper features a bouquet of flowers sitting happily in an unassuming but striking yellow flower pot which melds beautifully with the background and foils liltingly with the flowers. The sketch is signed in the lower right hand corner Malbre Burch 2000, completed when the artist was in her 80s. Ms Burch was a resident of Atlanta where she lead a successful career as an artist.
The sketch is matted and covered with mylar. It is in excellent condition.
