A very fine period American Brilliant Cut Glass bowl with fan and star motifs dominating the wall of the bowl, and stars and diamond hatching on the bottom with small sunbursts embedded within. The bowl is almost top notch, lacking only the beveled edging on the saw tooth. However, the blank is very thick; you can see the sharp crisp cuts through the vesicas and the tight precision points on the stars. While the glass is nearly perfect, we discovered some flea bites on the fan ridges, some of which are zippered, underscoring our high view of the cutting of this bowl.
