Paul Ysart Paperweight
This Paul Ysart paperweight embeds a scramble of millefiore style canes on a bed of beautiful grass green muslin strands. The canes are very colorful with the very central one containing the PY signature.
There is one notable fault with the glass which contains a manufacturing defect where there is hole flanked by a short streak of air or some other inclusion. The hole is tactile at the surface of the glass though looking through it with a loupe is very interesting. Everything else checks out fine. We have left the H 168 label on the underside. Please see our photo for the defect, but it does not show the streak we mentioned.
Based upon the clarity of the glass, we would ascribe this weight to the Harland era of the late 1970s.The green muslin is fabulous.
Given the defect we described, we are open to offers on this beautiful paperweight.
