Steuben Optic Rib Vase, Dark Blue Jade
A rare combination of shape (7430), color (dark blue jade), and style (jade) makes this vase an ideal candidate for an advanced collector looking for something uncommon. From a narrow neck on broad shoulders, the optic ribbed vase tapers moderately to a round base, Condition is very good without defect. Signed with acid script Steuben, dating the vase to c. 1930. This form of signature adds another element of rarity to the vase as it was only used from 1928-32, during the closing years of the Carder era.
