Purple Transferware Staffordshire Plate Grecian Temple
A Staffordshire plate with deep bowl and scalloped rim featuring 2 young women before an idealized Grecian temple in an idyllic setting. The rim is decorated in reserves of fruits and flowers. The back stamp is Grecian Temple L & H. There is also the previous owner's label dating the plate to c. 1830 with which we generally concur.
